A Woody Aesthetic
The Municipality of James Bay (MBJ) has just announced that it will proceed with the decision to use wood as the main component in the construction of all new public and privately funded buildings in order to support the failing forestry industry.
In keeping with its decision, the MBJ will favour the use of wood products wherever possible in municipal projects and those applying for renovation permits will also be encouraged to use wood in their projects.
By favouring wood products, the MBJ is hopeful that the local economy will experience a boost.
