Ontario Regional Chief Angus Toulouse re-elected
Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Grand Chief Stan Beardy expressed congratulations on behalf of himself and the NAN Executive Council to Angus Toulouse following Toulouse’s re-election as Regional Chief of Ontario July 8. Beardy made a statement at the All Ontario Chiefs Conference in Batchewana First Nation.
“Over the years [Toulouse] has earned the respect for his leadership and his tireless efforts to improve the lives of the First Nations people and I am certain that he will continue to be an effective and well-respected advocate for our people,” Beardy said.
“His commitment and selfless dedication serves as an example to all First Nation leaders,” Beardy added.
Regional Chief Toulouse is the voice for 133 First Nations in Ontario.
