Order of Quebec recipient and former Grand Chief, Dr. Ted Moses was nominated to be the new president of the Secretariat to the Cree Nation Abitibi-Témiscamingue Economic Alliance on December 16.

No stranger to the business world, Moses still currently presides over a multitude of corporations, including the Cree Nation Trust, Petronor, 9143-1981 Québec Inc. (NEMAO), Apitsiu Construction Ltd., Kaweshekami Environment Inc. and EASA Mechanic.

The Secretariat was originally founded by Moses along with the late Albert Diamond, the current coordinator Pierre Ouellet and Val-d’Or Mayor Fernand Trahan.

Moses will be replacing Diamond, who passed away this past fall.

“I am pleased and honoured to be distinguished as the President of the Secretariat with its ambitions and challenges. I look forward in bringing our already good business relationships to another level,” said Moses in a statement to the media.
