Upcoming Mistissini Elections

Band council elections in Mistissini will be held on Wednesday, July 14 (8am to 8pm), at the Emmet H. Macleod Conference room in the Issac Shecapio Sr. Administration Building.

Advance polls are set for July 6 and 7 (8am to 8 pm), plus there will travelling polls set up on July 8 (3pm to 9pm) for the following areas: Camp Nemiscau, Senneterre, Montreal and Ottawa.

Nominations are open for Chief, Deputy Chief and seven councillors for a term of four years. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Isaac Shecapio Administration Building or the Mistissini police station.

Nomination forms must be submitted by June 14 at 5pm to Tina M. Iserhoff, the returning officer, or to Mary Matoush at the police station. Each nomination form must have a total of 10 signatures and the signature of the nominee.
